Anthem climbs the foothills of the Black Mountain range in south Henderson, and like a lot of the best Las Vegas Valley communities, the elevation does the heavy lifting. Homes here sit above the valley floor with long views back toward the Strip and out across the desert, and the higher ground buys you a few degrees of relief in summer along with some of the quietest streets in Southern Nevada.

Anthem isn't one neighborhood, it's several with distinct personalities. Sun City Anthem is the guard-gated 55+ community — roughly 7,000 homes, three clubhouses, indoor and outdoor pools, fitness centers, pickleball, and a calendar of clubs and activities that keeps people genuinely busy. Anthem Country Club is the guard-gated golf community wrapped around a private course, home to custom estates and view lots. And Anthem Highlands and Anthem Parkside cover the family side of things: well-built single-family homes from the early 2000s onward, community parks and pools, and price points that are more accessible than the gated enclaves suggest.

Recreation is the through-line. The Revere Golf Club and Anthem Country Club course handle the golf. The Black Mountain and McCullough Range trailheads sit right at the community's edge for hiking. Anthem Hills Park is one of the better public parks in Henderson, with sports fields, a splash area, and trails that connect into the broader system.

Everything practical is close without being on top of you. Anthem Village and the shops along Anthem Parkway cover groceries, restaurants, and errands. St. Rose Dominican Hospital's Siena campus is a short drive. The 215 Beltway connects you to Green Valley, the airport in about twenty-five minutes, and the Strip in roughly thirty. Henderson's schools consistently rank among the strongest in the region, which is a big reason relocating families put Anthem on the list.

It's a community that works for two very different buyers — retirees who want an active, maintenance-light lifestyle, and families who want space, views, and good schools without Summerlin pricing.
